given sport hyperbole and aussie brashness adjustments, '5-0 is absolutely possible' would translate as:
'we're shit and we know we are; ashley giles would roll our batters over and the pakistanis (though punter would use the classic abbreviation) could survive at least 50 overs against our powder puff attack'.
england would probably have looked a bit dodgy this summer with anything like a true test, but the aussies aren't in a great place themselves right now. in fact if that fish is qualified the selectors might want to have a look. a tight series but i think we have a good chance.
