From the BBC via Jailhouse Lawyer...

The vulgarian in me confesses to having been amused by this story to the effect that the village of Lunt on Merseyside is thinking of changing its name due to repeated alteration by unruly fellows of the 'L' to 'C'
One can only tut at such immature behaviour.

Boys will be boys.....(I have to assume that females are not the problem.)

local councillors are tossing around a few possibilities:
kwat
grontbottom and
wairypie

a tough choice in my book.

reminds me of the apocryphal tale of a nervous civic dignitary welcoming diana dors back to her howm town where, as a lass with her feet on the ground, she always went by her real name of 'fluck'. he spent all night sweating over not making the obvious mistake, only to introduce her as 'diana clunt'.
oops.

Is it so terrible being a Lunt Cunt?
